An avid fan of Korean pop music, or K-pop, Sabrina Kien was always looking to buy K-pop T-shirts and sweatshirts, but none of the styles she found online fit her style. She wanted shirts that were minimalist and cute, with subtle nods to her favorite bands.

Sabrina decided to launch her own store, TAETOPIA, on Etsy.com in 2016 with original designs inspired by her favorite music group BTS and other K-pop groups such as BLACKPINK, Day6, EXO, and more. She endearingly named her shop TAETOPIA after her favorite member of BTS, Kim Taehyung. Her first products on Etsy were K-pop stickers, but as her business grew, she began offering short-sleeve and long-sleeve T-shirts.

In 2020, she started designing shirts based on her interests outside of K-pop, and launched the Wizard Collection. With high-quality sweatshirts, a focus on customer service, and the growing success of the Wizard Collection, TAETOPIA achieved a 5/5 star rating on Etsy from over 300 customer reviews and more than 1,500 sales.

After 5 years on Etsy, Sabrina is excited to expand her business with her own site, shoptaetopia.com. True to TAETOPIA’s roots, all designs are original and made by the TAETOPIA team. Products are printed and shipped using a fulfillment service to ensure items are high quality and consistent.
